Welcome to our community orchestra

We are a community group meeting weekly during term time in Bridport. The players come from the local area and beyond. Our string, wind and brass players are a mix of experienced, intermediate and novice, every ability is welcome.

West Dorset Community Orchestra will be celebrating it’s 15th anniversary next year. Many
of our players have been with us all of that time and show great commitment. We
aim to perform to the best of our ability whilst having fun and without pressure in
rehearsals.

Rehearsals take place weekly on Wednesdays between 6.30pm and 7.45pm in the Christian Fellowship Hall in East Street, Bridport

New members are offered the chance to watch and listen at a first rehearsal, then their first four sessions are free. Rehearsal subscription are then payable.

We perform concerts twice a year – usually at the end of the Summer term and a Christmas conert.
